Constantly striving to improve, Angles began learning about the power of pre-trial focus groups. In those early days, he learned about the incredible insight a trial lawyer can receive from a mock trial. But he also learned the inherent problem of confirmation bias when lawyers produce their own mock trials
After acquiring his office building in 2013, Angles conducted focus groups for his own cases, but the idea for Focus KC began to form. There were few focus group companies in the area. Angles began interviewing trial lawyers to find out their needs. Since 2016, FOCUS KC, LLC has continued evolving to provide comprehensive mock trial and focus group studies for civil and criminal defense trial lawyers.
