For Lawyers

What if your argument is weak, but no one told you?

FOCUS KC provides you with objective jurors, so you can see and hear the unvarnished truth.  You will be free of the confirmation bias from doing your own focus groups.

Our facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art cameras and microphones. You get a real-time feed in a private, comfortable setting, allowing for discreet observation of deliberations and instant feedback.

Our jurors will tell you if your argument is strong…or weak.

Focus groups give you and your team insight into juror reactions, questions, and emotions at every stage of your trial. This helps identify biases early.

FOCUS KC’s participant-vetting system allows us to maintain a deep pool of active and engaged jurors, available for single-use or for a series of sessions. Our central Kansas City location provides convenient access for jurors and legal teams.

FAQ

How are jurors selected?

Drawing from our deep pool of jurors, we will help you select the type of juror you are looking for, whether it be by jurisdiction, gender, age group, or other criteria you select

Is my case kept confidential?

The professionals at Focus KC maintain confidentiality of all our cases.  We cannot, however, guarantee jurors will maintain confidentiality. We have suggestions and tactics for you to maintain confidentiality with jurors, including changing the identity of witnesses/parties, changing jurisdiction, altering non-essential facts, using non-disclosure agreements, and exploring conflicts in our pre-selection process.

Is remote viewing an option?

Yes, we can provide an encrypted stream so you, your associates, or your client can view the session and deliberations remotely.  We also have a comfortable conference room on-site where the session and deliberations may be reviewed remotely and privately

What do I receive after the session?

Working with our moderator, you may wish to have jurors complete an exit questionnaire, which you are free to draft. Our on-site AV-professional will provide you with a thumbdrive of your mock trial within a few minutes of completion of your session.  Additionally, for an additional fee, we can provide you with a transcript of your session.

Required notice needed to schedule a mock trial?

Focus KC has been able to arrange 28 jurors within a 24-hour time frame.  This is an extreme example, however.  Optimally, we prefer at least 2 weeks’ notice to be sure we can produce the exact type of jury you seek.
